We're working with an established Sydney fintech on the hunt for a Senior iOS Developer to join their growing mobile team. This is a profitable, product-led business with thousands of paying customers who genuinely rely on the product every day - and they're investing in mobile for the long term.
They've recently brought a Senior Android Engineer into the Sydney team and are now looking for a Senior iOS Developer to build alongside them. You'll be a key part of a small, sharp mobile team, taking features from architecture through to release and owning quality end to end.
What you'll be doing
Designing and building recent features across the iOS app using Swift and SwiftUI
Taking ownership of functionality from concept through to production release and beyond
Collaborating closely with product, design and other engineers to deliver a seamless experience
Writing clean, well-tested, maintainable code and improving test coverage across the codebase
Providing thoughtful code reviews and helping lift the standard across the team
Contributing to the Android app over time (no prior Android experience required - just a willingness to learn)
What you'll bring
Solid commercial experience building iOS apps with Swift and SwiftUI
Strong grasp of the fundamentals of mobile development
Experience with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
A genuine care for clean, maintainable code and valuable software/product design
Excellent communication and a team-oriented, team-first approach
Curiosity and empathy for the end user - you consider the impact of what you build
Nice to have
Exposure to Kotlin Multiplatform or Android development
Experience in fintech, payments or another domain where quality really matters
Any experience with hybrid apps, Ruby on Rails or React
A few significant things to know
This is a fully in-office role - 5 days a week in the Sydney CBD. The team works best in person and that's by design.
You must be Sydney-based with full working rights. Unfortunately, visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
Permanent, full-time position.
