Cook – Job Description

We are looking for a reliable, motivated and experienced Cook

Key Responsibilities

● Prepare and cook food according to recipes and business standards.

● Complete daily food preparation and set up the kitchen before service.

● Maintain consistent food quality, presentation and portion sizes.

● Follow food safety, hygiene and temperature-control procedures.

● Keep the kitchen, cooking equipment and work areas clean and organised.

● Monitor stock levels and advise when ingredients need to be ordered.

● Store, label and rotate food correctly using FIFO procedures.

● Minimise food waste and use ingredients efficiently.

● Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.

● Work efficiently during busy service periods.

● Communicate professionally with other staff and management.

● Follow workplace health and safety procedures.





● Complete cleaning and closing duties at the end of the shift.

What We’re Looking For

● Previous cooking or commercial kitchen experience preferred.

● Valuable understanding of food safety and hygiene.

● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

● Reliable, punctual and well organised.

● Able to work efficiently under pressure.

● Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

● Availability for weekdays, weekends and/or evenings as required.

The successful applicant will be expected to maintain high standards of food quality, cleanliness, consistency and customer satisfaction at all times.

Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
