Senior Commercial Lawyer | 8+ Years PAE | Merrylands
Maclarens Lawyers is a well-established firm with a solid reputation across Sydney, built over more than 80 years of serving business and family clients locally and Sydney-wide. We're looking for a Senior Commercial Lawyer to join our Commercial Law team and take real ownership of a broad and compelling caseload, working alongside experienced partners in a firm that backs its people to grow.
About the role
You'll be running your own files from day one, working across business sales and share sales, commercial contract review and drafting, retail, commercial and warehousing leasing, business set up and restructuring, and commercial disputes. Our client base spans everything from regular family business transactions through to small and medium enterprises and substantial high net worth clients, giving you exposure to genuinely high end, competitive commercial work alongside the day to day. We also maintain a strong pro bono practice and this role includes the opportunity to make a real contribution to the community through that work.
This is a genuine opportunity to build client relationships, mentor juniors and shape the direction of a growing practice area.
What you'll bring
8+ years' post-admission experience in commercial law, with strong exposure to business and share sale transactions
Confidence drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and leasing agreements
Experience with business structuring, restructures and commercial disputes
A practical, commercial approach and the judgement to manage client relationships independently
Current NSW practising certificate
