XCircle is rapidly expanding its Wangara and Neerabup manufacturing facilities to meet growing demand for modular critical power infrastructure and AI data centre solutions. We are seeking two Trade Assistants to work directly alongside our trade qualified welders at our Wangara facility on a full time ongoing basis.
The Role
You will be the right hand of our welding team - keeping the welders welding. That means having steel cut, prepped, positioned and tacked ready to go, and handling everything around the weld so the job keeps moving.
Key Responsibilities
Assist our trade qualified welders on module builds and structural fabrication
Prepare steel for welding - grinding, cleaning, deburring and edge prep
Assist with fit-up, clamping, squaring and tacking of frames, skid bases and enclosures
Move and position steel members using overhead crane and forklift
Read and interpret drawings and weld maps to identify and stage the right components
Post-weld dressing, grinding and cleaning of completed work
Assist with general fabrication, assembly and module fit-out tasks
Maintain a safe,
clean and organised work area in line with company and WHS standards
About You
Experience as a Trade Assistant in a fabrication, boilermaking or heavy steel workshop
Confident with grinders, hand tools and power tools
Able to read and interpret basic drawings
Forklift ticket (desirable)
Overhead crane / dogging ticket (desirable)
EWP / Working at Heights (desirable)
Reliable, safety-conscious and a strong team player
Own steel cap boots and hand tools
No trade qualification required - if you are keen, reliable and want to learn the welding side, we will train you.
What We Offer
Full-time ongoing employment
$35.00 per hour + 1.5x Overtime + Super
Weekly pay
40.5-hour week - 6:00am to 3:30pm Monday to Thursday, 6:00am to 12:30pm Friday
