About the role
Continue your fitter and turner career with hands on manufacturing. We are looking for a driven individual to transform raw materials into meticulous components using cutting edge technology. Learn on the job and build a solid foundation for your future. Looking for a third or fourth year apprentice.
If you have ever played with lego, built a billy cart, fixed your own car or bicycle, played with mechano sets and enjoyed it, then this is the role for you to continue with.
Key responsibilities
CNC Machining in the fields of turning, milling, slotting, drilling and boring
Programming and setting up machines
Drilling,
ancillary duties, grinding, pedestal grinding, some painting, welding and sheet metal work
Overhead crane/forklift use
Assembly and fitment of industrial gearboxes
How to read BOM’s and technical assembly drawings
Product testing and report for QA
Manufacturing quality parts
Skills & experience
A genuine interest in an engineering/manufacturing career
A willingness to learn
Ability to work in a team setting
Ability to follow & adhere to polices & procedures
High level of attention to detail with positive organisational skills
Ability to handle pressure
Geometry and math skills
Practical application and mechanical aptitude
Car & licence
Australian citizenship is essential
