Brightside Disability Support & Respite is seeking an experienced Payroll & Bookkeeping Officer to join the team full time and take ownership of day-to-day payroll and bookkeeping functions. This is a work-from-home position for someone who is highly organised, self-motivated and able to work independently while remaining closely connected with the management team.
Key responsibilities
End-to-end payroll processing
Reviewing and reconciling employee timesheets and hours
Ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time
Managing leave, superannuation and payroll-related employee enquiries
Maintaining accurate employee payroll records
Accounts payable and accounts receivable
Bank and credit card reconciliations
Processing invoices, bills and payments
General bookkeeping and account reconciliations
Assisting with BAS and financial reporting preparation
About you
Robust end-to-end payroll experience
Previous bookkeeping experience
Highly experienced with Xero
Excellent attention to detail
Robust understanding of Australian payroll, superannuation and payroll compliance
Able to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
Organised and able to meet strict payroll deadlines
Communicates confidently with employees and management
Comfortable working autonomously from home
Handles sensitive payroll and financial information with discretion
