Operating since 1980, the company brings extensive industry experience and practical expertise to projects across New South Wales.
We are seeking an experienced Shotfirer to join our established team based near Goulburn/Tarago.
Enjoy local work and a Monday-to-Friday working pattern, with weekend work rarely required. You will generally return home each day, with usually only a few nights away per month. A work vehicle is provided.
About the role
This is a hands-on position covering blast preparation through to completion. Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing, loading and firing blasts in accordance with blast plans, site requirements and approved procedures.
Handling and accounting for explosives within applicable licensing and safety requirements.
Completing pre-blast checks, maintaining safety controls and responding to changing site conditions.
Working closely with drillers, blast crews and site personnel to coordinate activities.
Completing accurate blast records and maintaining vehicles and equipment.
About you
You’re an experienced Shotfirer who brings sound judgement, explicit communication and a practical approach to safe work.
You will need
Relevant shotfiring experience in quarrying, mining, civil construction or a similar environment.
A current NSW Blasting Explosives User Licence appropriate to the work, or an equivalent interstate licence with eligibility to obtain NSW recognition.
The required security clearance for unsupervised access to explosives.
A current unrestricted driver’s licence and Australian working rights.
The ability to follow blast plans, maintain accurate records and work reliably as part of a field team.
