Our client is an established organisation operating within the resources sector. Due to an immediate requirement within the team, they are seeking a Purchasing Officer to join their Perth-based operations on an initial 3-month contract, with potential to extend to 6 months and beyond.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong administration experience who is looking to develop their career within purchasing and procurement.

About the Role

Working as part of a supportive team, you will provide purchasing and administrative support across the business. The role will suit someone who is highly organised, comfortable working across systems and enjoys working in a rapid-paced setting. Previous purchasing experience would be advantageous; however, the client is also open to candidates with strong administration experience and a genuine interest in moving into procurement.

Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day purchasing and administrative support
Assist with purchase orders and purchasing-related activities




Maintain accurate purchasing records and system information
Liaise with internal stakeholders and suppliers
Assist with general procurement and team administration
Ensure information is processed accurately and within required timeframes

About You

To be successful, you will ideally have:
Strong administration experience
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
An interest in developing your career within purchasing/procurement
Robust communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Confidence working with systems and data
SAP experience would be highly regarded
Previous purchasing/procurement exposure would be advantageous but is not essential
