Salary: $79,000 – $85,000 per annum, depending on experience
About the Position
We are seeking a passionate, qualified and experienced Full time Chef to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will have robust cooking and food preparation skills and be able to work efficiently in a busy commercial kitchen workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, cook and present high-quality meals according to established recipes and standards.
Prepare meals for regular customers and catering orders, including Biryani.
Carry out food preparation, including cutting, portioning, marinating and seasoning ingredients.
Monitor food quality, portion sizes and presentation.
Ensure all food is prepared, stored and handled in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards.
Conduct stocktakes and assist with inventory management and ordering.
Train, supervise and support kitchen staff as required.
Maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment.
Follow workplace health and safety (WHS) and food safety procedures.
Minimise food wastage and ensure efficient use of ingredients.
Requirements
Minimum 1–2 years of relevant chef experience.
Relevant culinary qualifications are preferred.
Solid food preparation and cooking skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
Strong teamwork, communication and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Salary
$79,000 – $85,000 per annum, depending on skills, qualifications and experience.
