This boutique advisory firm based in Melbourne helps clients develop and finance clean energy and decarbonisation projects. The Manager will lead business cases, project finance readiness and policy engagement across the energy transition.
The right person combines strategy or financial modelling rigour with genuine energy transition interest. Hybrid role, with a team built from top tier consulting and finance backgrounds.
Responsibilities:
Develop business cases and commercial models for renewable energy and grid infrastructure projects
Support project finance and investment readiness processes, preparing projects for financing conversations
Conduct financial and commercial analysis across clean energy transactions and investment prospects
Engage with policy and regulatory stakeholders on energy market and grid renewables issues
Manage client relationships and support business development across the energy transition sector
Contribute to strategic advisory work spanning sustainability,
decarbonisation and clean energy project development
Required Experience:
Strategy consulting background with solid problem solving, synthesis and modelling skills
Alternatively, financial modelling experience across transactions, project finance or investment analysis
Genuine interest or experience in sustainability, energy transition or energy policy highly regarded
Consulting experience within the energy sector specifically preferred over general sector exposure
Big 4 or tier one and a half advisory firm background well regarded
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, commerce, economics, engineering, finance or a related discipline
Postgraduate qualification such as an MBA or relevant Master's degree favourably viewed
CFA or similar financial qualification an advantage for candidates with a finance background
