EJ Hadaway is seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join our specialized manufacturing team in Dandenong South. This role suits a hands-on trades or engineering-minded operator who enjoys running machines end-to-end and taking ownership of quality output. This is a long-term, permanent position in a stable, Australian family-owned business.
Key responsibilities
Set up and operate Band saw cutting machines, grinding bolts, Centre drilling, c-press operation
Run jobs from start to finish, including setup, operation, and basic checks
Produce precision components to drawing and specification
Monitor quality and make adjustments as required
Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused workspace
About you
Previous experience operating industrial or engineering machinery
Minimum 2+ years of industrial or engineering machinery operating experience required
Ability to work independently and problem-solve on machines
Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
Reliable, punctual, and consistent work ethic
Strong safety awareness
Australian work rights are required for this position
Engineering or mechanical background highly regarded
Ability to read basic drawings or specifications highly regarded
