WA Child Safety Services (WACSS) is Western Australia’s specialist provider of child safety education and training and a service arm of the community-based charity, Caring Communities.
We are seeking a passionate Child Safety Trainer to join our dedicated team on a part time basis (15 hours per week).
About the Role
This newly created position delivers the Protective Behaviours Program to children and young people through individual and sibling-based sessions. The role is based in Malaga, with travel across the Perth metropolitan area and occasional regional travel.
This position is offered on a 12-month fixed term contract, with the possibility of ongoing/permanent employment.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver WACSS’s suite of programs to children, teenagers, adults, parents, and professionals across a range of locations, including schools, childcare centres, and community settings
Deliver individual one to one Protective Behaviours education sessions to children and sibling groups, tailoring sessions to meet individual needs
Prepare and utilise teaching resources
Deliver programs in line with WACSS policies and procedures
Maintain records and prepare reports
Requirements
Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience
Solid experience in Child Protection, Protective Behaviours and child safety
Working with Children Check & National Police Clearance
Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
