An established Adelaide maintenance business is seeking a reliable and experienced maintenance handyperson for ongoing work across six childcare centres. This is a regular casual position offering three weekday shifts per week, generally from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. The position provides approximately 22.5 paid hours per week.
Key responsibilities
General maintenance and minor repairs
Minor carpentry and timber repairs
Patching and paint touch-ups
Installing shelves, hooks, signs and bathroom fittings
Assembling furniture and flat-pack items
Adjusting and repairing gates, latches and fencing
Minor gardening and outdoor clean-ups
Inspecting facilities and reporting maintenance concerns
Taking before-and-after photographs
Completing basic job reports using a mobile phone
About you
Practical, reliable and capable of working independently without constant supervision
Take pride in your work and maintain a clean and protected work area
Communicate professionally with childcare centre managers
Current Australian driver's licence
Reliable, registered and appropriately insured vehicle
Own basic hand and power tools
Suitable workwear and personal protective equipment
Full Australian working rights
Current Working With Children Check and National Police Check (or willing to obtain)
