Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Trade Finance team.

Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant – Trade, you will play a key role in supporting financial accounting, reporting and compliance activities across one of Bapcor's largest and most commercially significant business segments.

This role offers excellent exposure to month-end reporting, financial controls, audit processes, fixed asset management and business partnering, making it an ideal prospect for a finance skilled looking to broaden their commercial and technical accounting experience.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare month-end journals and support the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting.
Maintain balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving reconciling items to ensure solid financial controls.
Analyse financial results against budget, forecast and prior periods,



providing commentary on key variances and performance drivers.
Manage the Trade Fixed Asset Register, ensuring assets are accurately capitalised, depreciated and disposed of in accordance with accounting and tax requirements.
Support half-year and year-end audit processes, including preparation of schedules and responding to auditor requests.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, Group policies and reporting requirements.
Partner with stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Merchandise and Marketing to provide accounting support and insights.
Contribute to process improvement, automation and reporting enhancement initiatives that improve efficiency, control and business visibility.
