About the Role
Join a contemporary regional Emergency Department managing approximately 18,000 presentations annually. Working alongside FACEMs, FACRRMs, FRACGPs, junior doctors and nurse practitioners, you will provide clinical leadership, supervise medical teams and deliver high-quality emergency care. The role also offers opportunities to contribute to education, quality improvement and service development. International candidates can be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise medical staff during ED shifts
Assess, diagnose and manage emergency presentations
Support admissions, transfers, discharges and clinical handovers
Participate in on-call and emergency response rosters
Mentor junior clinicians and support education programs
Contribute to quality, safety and governance initiatives
Essential Criteria
AHPRA Specialist Registration (FACEM) or FRACGP/FACRRM with advanced emergency medicine qualifications
Recent Emergency Medicine experience in Australia or a comparable setting
Strong clinical leadership and teamwork skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Commitment to patient safety and continuous improvement
