About the Business:
Brownes Dairy has been delighting consumers for over 140 years and is ready to embark on a current growth phase. You’ll step into a high‑impact role with ownership and the opportunity to directly impact our products and customers with brands such as Hunt and Brew, Füll , ProGo, Brownes Chill and Yogo when you join us as a Mechanical Fitter.
We are currently looking for a Mechanical Fitter who will play a vital part in ensuring our assets in Balcatta are optimized to provide the best possible products from a mechanical perspective ensuring our machinery is maintained so that our plant can run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
This is a full time position, working a 12-hour shift pattern of 2 x days, 2 x nights and 4 x days off.
What are we looking for?
Australian Recognised Mechanical Trade Qualification
Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment will be highly regarded
The ability and confidence to work effectively without supervision
Experience with computerized preventative maintenance programs
Good planning,
time management and communication skills
Strong commitment to health and safety standards
Extensive knowledge and use of fault-finding techniques within an automated production plant.
Perform work in accordance with relevant Australian Standards, quality, and environmental measurements, (e.g., AS3000, ISO 9000, QMS, Food Safety Systems (HACCP, RMA).
