QIC is seeking a talented Financial Accountant to join our Australian Real Estate Finance team on a fixed-term contract through to October 2027. Working alongside experienced finance professionals in a collaborative team environment, you'll play a key role in delivering financial accounting and reporting, compliance services, and investment accounting oversight while contributing to a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

About The Role
n

Prepare accurate and high-quality financial accounting workpapers and insights via regular monthly and quarterly activities.
n
Support the real estate investment valuation processes, and correct accounting for investment properties.
n
Navigate a diverse stakeholder group with high expectations for data and information.
n
Account for acquisitions and disposals, development and master planning activities, and manage monthly BAS lodgements.
n
Reconcile daily cash transactions,
with robust follow through and resolution of reconciling items.
n
Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to ongoing operational excellence initiatives, with the latest AI tools at your fingertips.
n
Interact with outsourced investment accounting providers, maintaining high standards of accuracy, governance, and compliance.

About You
n
n
A degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related discipline.
n
CA or CPA qualification.
n
Experience in financial accounting, property or fund accounting environments.
n
Solid knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, financial reporting, tax compliance and control requirements.
n
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
n
The ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and communicate effectively across teams.
n
A proactive mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
