SAMS Independent Living Services (SILS) is seeking compassionate and reliable Casual Support Workers to support people with disability to live independently, develop their skills, and participate fully in their communities.

We have regular shifts available, including:
Afternoon shifts
Evening shifts
Sleepover shifts

Whether you're experienced in disability support or looking to grow your career, we provide training, mentoring and ongoing support to help you succeed.

About the role

As a Support Worker, you will work alongside people with disability in their home and the community, supporting them to develop daily living skills, achieve their goals, and enjoy meaningful community participation.

This rewarding role involves providing both practical assistance and emotional support while encouraging independence, choice and inclusion.

Key responsibilities include:
Assisting with daily living activities
Supporting personal care




Preparing meals and assisting with household tasks
Supporting community access, shopping and appointments
Encouraging participation in social, recreational and community activities
Providing companionship, emotional support and encouragement
Promoting each person's independence, dignity and individual choices
Maintaining accurate records and following individual support plans

Previous experience in disability support is valued but not essential. We welcome applicants with the right attitude and commitment, as full training and ongoing support will be provided.

Pay: $34.44 – $46.70 per hour
