We are currently seeking two (2) qualified Painter Blasters for an ongoing, 6-month casual contract position based out of our Elizabeth South facility.

Work Schedule: Ongoing / Immediate Start
Compensation: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)
Visa Sponsorship: Available for qualified local applicants (Offshore applicants will not be considered)
Key Responsibilities
Surface Preparation: Perform industrial abrasive blasting to effectively clean, de-scale, and prepare structural metal surfaces.
Coating Application: Mix, prepare, and apply industrial primers and specialized protective coatings using airless or conventional spray equipment.
Quality Control: Inspect treated surfaces and measure wet/dry coating thickness to ensure strict compliance with client and manufacturing quality standards.
Masking & Protection: Carefully mask, tape,
and protect specific surface areas not requiring blasting or painting treatments.
Equipment Maintenance: Safely operate, monitor, and maintain blasting pots, heavy compressors, spray guns, and associated industrial machinery.
Safety & Compliance: Follow all Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) procedures, including the mandatory use of correct personal protective equipment (PPE) and protected chemical handling/storage practices.
Requirements & Qualifications
Proven skilled experience working as a Painter Blaster in a heavy industrial or steel fabrication environment.
High proficiency in operating industrial blasting units, spray guns, and measuring coating thickness.
Robust adherence to workplace safety regulations and protective clothing compliance.
