The Storeman is pivotal in managing the company’s inventory, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods. They play a vital role in ensuring operations run seamlessly and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Goods Receipt: Unload and inspect deliveries for accuracy and damage.
Inventory: Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular stock counts.
Storage: Organize goods for optimal retrieval and space usage.
Dispatch: Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
Safety: Adhere to safety guidelines and ensure a hazard-free setting.
Qualifications & Skills:
Be physically fit – as there will be a lot of manual handling of large valves, packing, taking / assisting with deliveries etc.
Experience in a warehouse setting.
Organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment, like forklifts.
Solid attention to detail and team spirit.
Have a forklift licence – highly preferred but not essential
General Warehousing Experience
Hours of work will be 8:30am – 5pm
Monday to Thursday with a 1 hour lunch break.
