The RoleWe have an exciting opportunity for a permanent full-time Mechanical Fitter to join our Maintenance Reliability team on the Day Shift.If you have experience within FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) manufacturing, or are looking to build your experience within the industry, this could be the prospect for you.We are looking for a qualified Mechanical Fitter who brings the right attitude, a strong team focus and a willingness to learn and contribute within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.The successful applicant will demonstrate strong mechanical knowledge and skills, attention to detail, reliability and effective communication within a team environment.The successful applicant will:Hold a relevant qualification – Fitter Trade Certificate or equivalentIdeally have experience within the FMCG manufacturing industryBe able to work independently and proactively across preventative maintenance schedules, breakdowns and other assigned maintenance tasksBe available to work Day Shift, Monday to Friday.Have flexibility to work additional shifts or weekends where requiredHave sound knowledge of mechanical equipment and the skills required to maintain,
repair and install equipmentBe competent in diagnosing faults, responding to production breakdowns and supporting production start-ups and equipment settingsBe competent in servicing and maintaining industrial equipmentHave a strong customer focus and team-oriented approachBe familiar with, or able to learn, computerised maintenance management systemsCommunicate effectively with management and operational teams regarding equipment and maintenance issuesDemonstrate positive behaviours aligned with Sanitarium's values and be a reliable member of the teamAll applicants must be able to demonstrate that they have the legal right to work in Australia.We are an organisation driven by our mission and values.
