Known for blending Vietnamese heritage with contemporary dining, Hello Auntie offers creative interpretations of traditional Vietnamese and South-East Asian cuisine in a welcoming Inner West setting.The typical job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:Uphold and maintain excellent presentation standards in the kitchenPrepare, cook and present dishes according to their stationCollaborate with the kitchen team members and Front-of-house staff in delivering superior service and maximising customer satisfaction.Delegate duties and responsibilities to kitchen employees to ensure service demands are metLead employees by setting a positive exampleAssist the Head Chef and Senior Sous Chef with menu preparation and ensuring adequate supplies are available for expected serviceWork with and coordinate the work of apprentices in the preparation and production of food as requiredEnsuring sanitation and safety regulationsMaintain excellent presentation standards for all food outlets, whilst maintaining recipe standardsMaintain kitchen practices to maximise efficiencies and speed of service, and ensure warm plates get to the table on timeUse of a comprehensive stock control system, wastage and breakage recording practicesEnsure strict stock rotation and minimum wastageMaintain effective restocking methods with accurate par levelsTo comply with company policies and procedures,



as well as WHS and other company operational standardsUse the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)Keep all working areas clean and tidy & ensure all equipment is maintained, serviced, and cleaned to OHS standardsRepresent and promote our brand in the local communityPromote the venue's image and ensure staff always portray the venue and its products in a positive wayMaintain a system for taking guest complaints and feedback in a discreet and skilled manner, and a line of communication back to the head chefMonitor deliveries and goods, and ensure they are in great conditionManage in-house stock controlMaintain a comprehensive service manual, opening and closing procedures, ordering sheets and specific to-do listsMaintain food notes, recipes and method sheets with photos for kitchen and FOH staff, etc.Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the role:A relevant Diploma DegreeExperience/ KnowledgeA minimum of 3 years of relevant experienceEssential SkillsTeam collaboration skills for effective work with kitchen staff.Adaptability to different kitchen environments and menu styles.Communication skills for coordinating with team members and other departments.Ownership of food preparation and presentation responsibilities.Positive attitude and proactive problem-solving approach in the kitchen.Commitment to continuous self-improvement and high culinary standards.Capability to manage high-pressure kitchen operations and tight service deadlines.Organisational skills for efficient food preparation, storage, and cleanliness.Attention to detail in recipes, portion control, and food safety compliance.Due to the volume of applicants, only those meeting the minimum standards will be considered and only successful applicants will be contacted.
