We're now looking for a highly capable Senior Security Technician to strengthen our Victorian technical team.The RoleAs a Senior Security Technician, you'll take a leading technical role across major CCTV, access control and integrated security projects.You'll remain hands‐on while taking responsibility for complex system programming, commissioning, fault resolution, quality assurance and technical handovers.You'll work closely with Project Managers, technicians, clients,



subcontractors and suppliers while helping mentor less‐experienced team members and improve technical standards across the business.The role will involve work across Melbourne and broader Victoria, with occasional interstate opportunities supporting major national projects.What You'll DoLead the installation, programming and commissioning of complex electronic security systemsConfigure and integrate CCTV, access control, intercom, intrusion detection and related platformsDiagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, network and integration faultsReview system designs, drawings, specifications and technical documentationSupport Project Managers with technical planning, equipment selection and delivery methodologyConduct system testing, quality inspections and commissioning reviewsEnsure installations comply with project specifications, Australian Standards and Fortis Security's quality requirementsPrepare accurate commissioning records, configuration documentation and client handover packagesCoordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and other tradesProvide technical guidance, mentoring and support to technicians and apprenticesIdentify technical risks and resolve issues before they affect project deliveryMaintain high standards of safety,



workmanship and customer serviceWhat You'll BringExtensive experience as a Security Technician within the electronic security industryAdvanced experience programming and commissioning CCTV and access control systemsStrong knowledge of integrated security systems, networking and server‐based platformsProven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical faultsThe ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and system designsExperience leading technical works and supporting other techniciansStrong communication, organisation and client‐management skillsA current Victorian Private Security Individual Licence authorising Security Equipment Installer activitiesA current Australian Driver's LicenceFull and permanent Australian working rightsExperience with platforms such as Genetec, Gallagher, Integriti, Milestone or Geutebrück will be highly regarded.Manufacturer certifications, networking experience and current cabling registration will also be highly regarded.Why Join Fortis Security?
