Registered Nurse - Cooinda Mental Health Unit | Buderim Private HospitalEmployment Term: Maximum Term part time opportunity Available (maternity leave vacancy 0.8 FTE)Location: Buderim Private Hospital, Sunshine CoastRemuneration: $***** - $***** per hour + Super + NFP Salary Packaging (save tax and increase your take home pay)Applications will be reviewed as they are received, and therefore may result in the role closing early if the right applicant is found.The Cooinda Mental Health inpatient unit is a state-of-the-art 33-bed acute unit for those aged 18 and over.
With private, well-equipped rooms, patients have use of the dining room, laundry, lounge areas, visitors' lounge, outdoor areas, music room, art and craft room, therapy rooms and gymnasium.
Our service provides assessment and evidence-based treatment for patients experiencing, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)/trauma, eating disorders, psychotic disorders, addictions, complex needs due to a mental illness, as well as young adult and older persons mental health needs.Make a meaningful difference with Buderim Private HospitalAs one of the Sunshine Coast's largest hospitals, we provide a comprehensive range of surgical and medical services using the latest technology.

The Registered Nurse practices independently and interdependently assuming accountability and responsibility for their own actions, and the delegation to and the supervision of care provided by Enrolled Nurses, Assistants in Nursing and health care students (ANMC National Competency Standards for the Registered Nurse).

Bachelor of Nursing degree or equivalent and AHPRA registrationA minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience in acute mental healthFull Australian Working Rights (please note, we are unable to provide sponsorship at this time)Flexibility to work across a 24/7 rotating roster, with demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Workplace Health and Safety practices.A commitment to patient safety and quality improvements and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environmentWillingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospitals infection control requirements, as well as undergo national criminal history check and functional assessmentWhat makes a difference for you?
