Senior Business Development Manager – Commercial HVAC & Industrial Hygiene
You will be responsible for helping grow our commercial division.
Working directly with the Managing Director and our operational team, you will develop new business across food manufacturing, industrial facilities, facilities management, commercial property and other compliance-sensitive environments.
You will have the support of an established brand, proven technical capability, experienced technicians, successful project history and an excellent customer reputation.
Your responsibility will be to turn these strengths into a structured and scalable commercial sales function.
Key responsibilities
Develop and execute a commercial growth plan capable of generating an additional profitable annual revenue
Identify and research prospective clients, sites, industry groups and contract opportunities
Build relationships with facility managers, asset managers, maintenance and engineering managers, food-safety and quality teams, procurement managers, property managers and business owners
Generate your own opportunities through prospecting, referrals, networking, site visits, industry research and strategic partnerships
Approach food manufacturers, industrial operators, laundromat groups, facilities-management providers and multi-site property owners
Manage the complete sales process from target selection and initial contact through site assessment, proposal, negotiation and contract award
Work with our operations team to develop accurate scopes, labour estimates, service methodologies and delivery schedules
Prepare commercially sound proposals that protect gross margin and reflect the operational requirements of each site
Develop recurring inspection, duct-cleaning and HVAC maintenance programs rather than relying only on one-off projects
Maintain an accurate CRM pipeline, sales forecast, activity plan and account-development strategy




About you
At least five years of successful B2B business development or technical service sales experience
A demonstrated record of winning current commercial or industrial service contracts
Existing relationships within food manufacturing, facilities management, commercial property, industrial operations or building services
Experience selling HVAC maintenance, mechanical services, industrial cleaning, hygiene services, refrigeration, essential services or another technical service
Strong commercial acumen, including experience with budgets, pricing, labour costs, gross margin and contract profitability
The ability to research markets, develop prospect lists and open completely new accounts
Experience dealing with multiple stakeholders and navigating longer commercial sales cycles
Strong proposal-writing, presentation, negotiation and closing skills
Confidence conducting site meetings and discussing operational or technical requirements
Excellent CRM discipline, pipeline management and sales forecasting
A senior role with direct access to the Managing Director
