The opportunity
As Lead Teacher – Teaching and Learning, you'll lead the program design and delivery Victorian Curriculum at our Junior campus for students in years 7-9. You'll support and mentor teachers, lead pedagogical improvement, and help create engaging learning experiences that enable every student to thrive. Your role will primarily be in the classroom with additional leadership release time during the week.
As a key member of the Campus Leadership Team, you'll work alongside school leaders to support staff, shape strategic direction and strengthen teaching and learning across the campus. This is an opportunity to make a lasting impact on both students and educators while contributing to a culture of inclusion, collaboration and continuous improvement.
This is a full-time opportunity commencing Term One ****.

Lead teacher position purpose —
Relevant knowledge and skills:
Demonstrated ability to lead and support staff in developing effective,



inclusive teaching practices and curriculum design.
Must have an understanding of the Victorian curriculum and delivery.
A Teaching degree, and current registration with the VIT as a classroom teacher.
Experience in planning, implementing and evaluating individualised educational programs for young people.
Knowledge of the issues that impact on the education of young people with wellbeing or mental health difficulties and experience in promoting positive student wellbeing.
Strong interpersonal skills including self-awareness, self-management and awareness of others in communication and problem solving.

All applicants must be registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching, be qualified to teach, and have demonstrated experience in the knowledge and skill area(s) specified for the position.
