Job Description
We are seeking an Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Cultural Representative to support First Nations clients and their families through culturally informed engagement, connection and support services.
n
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in helping clients strengthen their connection to culture, community and identity while working collaboratively with Elders, community organisations and service providers to improve outcomes.
n
This is a flexible part-time opportunity, $92,000 - $104,000 + Super (pro-rata) (approximately 0.6 FTE / 3 days per week) with flexibility around how hours are worked for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Support First Nations clients to strengthen cultural identity, connection and wellbeing.
n
Facilitate cultural activities, groups and community engagement initiatives.
n
Build relationships with Elders, community organisations and support services.
n
Participate in support planning and service coordination activities.
n
Advocate for culturally secure and inclusive practices.
n
Provide cultural guidance and support to staff and stakeholders.
n
Contribute to positive outcomes for clients,



families and communities.

About You
n
n
You identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
n
Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, families and communities.
n
Strong understanding of cultural connection, healing and community engagement.
n
Experience facilitating groups, activities or community programs.
n
Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
n
Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identified position.
n
Certificate IV or Diploma in Community Services, Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs, or related discipline.
n
Current Working With Vulnerable People registration.
n
Current Driver's Licence.
n
