Contract Administrator – Client-Side Project Management

The Opportunity
n
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Contract Administrator to join a well-established and growing client-side Project Management consultancy in Sydney.
n
The business delivers project management and advisory services across a diverse portfolio of residential, mixed-use and industrial developments, working closely with developers, investors and property owners throughout the full project lifecycle.
n
This role will suit a Contract Administrator looking to transition further into a client-side environment, gaining exposure to development and project management while working across a high-quality pipeline of projects.
n
The Role
n
Working closely with senior industry professionals, you will provide commercial and contractual support across multiple projects from early design and procurement through to construction and completion.
n
Key responsibilities will include:
n
n
Supporting the administration and management of construction contracts from a client-side perspective
n
Reviewing and assessing variations, progress claims, extensions of time and other contractual matters
n
Assisting with tendering, procurement and contractor engagement
n
Reviewing project costs, budgets and cash flows
n
Monitoring contractor performance and contractual compliance
n
Assisting with cost reporting and monthly project reporting
n
Reviewing construction programs and identifying potential commercial or contractual risks
n
Working closely with consultants, contractors, developers and internal project management teams
n
Supporting Project Managers with project documentation,
reporting and commercial administration
n
Assisting with project close-out, defects and final accounts
n
Contributing to the successful delivery of projects across residential, mixed-use and industrial sectors
n
n
The ideal candidate will have:
n
n
3+ years' experience in Contract Administration within the
construction/property
sector
n
Experience working for a head contractor, builder or construction consultancy
n
Strong understanding of construction contracts, variations, claims and commercial processes
n
Experience across residential, mixed-use, industrial or commercial projects highly regarded
n
Strong attention to detail and commercial acumen
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
n
Ability to work collaboratively with contractors, consultants and clients
n
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
n
A relevant construction, property, quantity surveying or project management qualification is advantageous
n
n
