About the Role
n
We are seeking experienced SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) Technical Consultants to join a high-performing payroll and technology team. These are hands-on technical positions focused primarily on supporting New Zealand payroll operations, while also contributing to payroll support activities across other geographies as required.

Key Responsibilities
n
SAP SuccessFactors ECP Support
n
n
Act as the subject matter expert for SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP).
n
Provide production support, troubleshooting, and operational management of payroll systems.
n
Maintain stable, secure, and compliant payroll environments.
n
Support payroll processing activities and resolve complex payroll issues.
n
n
Configuration & Change Management
n
n
Perform payroll and system configuration changes.
n
Manage transports and production deployment activities.
n
Support system upgrades, releases, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
n
Ensure adherence to governance, compliance, and change management processes.
n
n
Payroll Operations




n
n
Support New Zealand payroll processing and compliance requirements.
n
Collaborate with payroll teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll execution.
n
Monitor system health, payroll integrity, and operational performance.
n
Participate in critical payroll run activities and provide after-hours support when required.
n
n
Stakeholder Collaboration
n
n
Work closely with payroll teams, business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and global support teams.
n
Investigate and resolve production incidents and integration issues.
n
Contribute to operational excellence across payroll and HR technology functions.
n
n
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
n
n
Robust hands-on experience with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP).
n
Deep understanding of Australian and/or New Zealand payroll legislation, compliance, and payroll operations.
n
Proven experience supporting complex production payroll environments.
n
Experience with payroll configuration, system administration, and transport management.
n
Strong ABAP development and debugging skills.
n
Ability to troubleshoot payroll, integration, and production support issues.
n
Experience maintaining data integrity and system reliability within business-critical environments.
n
Knowledge of ITIL, DevOps,



Agile, or SAFe methodologies.
n
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
n
SAP SuccessFactors experience beyond Employee Central Payroll.
n
Experience with SuccessFactors implementations, upgrades, and release management.
n
Understanding of HR processes and employee lifecycle management.
n
Experience working in regulated, financial services, government, or other highly controlled environments.
n
Knowledge of enterprise governance, risk, and compliance frameworks.
n

Ideal Candidate

We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:

Strong New Zealand and/or Australian payroll expertise.
n
The ability to work independently in a complex enterprise environment.
n
Experience supporting critical payroll operations where compliance and accuracy are paramount.
n
A track record of managing incidents, transports, configuration changes, and production support activities.
n
n
Candidates with only high-level SuccessFactors exposure and limited Employee Central Payroll support experience are unlikely to be suitable.
n
