The ideal candidate will be capable of working independently and collaboratively, demonstrating professionalism, precision, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results on every project.

Roles and Responsibilities
n
n
Preparing walls and surfaces for painting by washing them down, scraping, filling holes and cracks, and removing old paint.
n
Installation, repair and maintain all sorts of internal surfaces, walls and ceilings.
n
Be proficient in various methods of paint application such as brush, roll, spray, etc.
n




Painting to the highest standard of workmanship - surface preparation skills, as well as mixing and matching.
n
Washing, scraping, sanding and/or smoothing interior and exterior surfaces prior to painting, varnishing or applying other related materials.
n
Removing fixtures such as doorknobs and light switch covers.
n
Apply varnish and other finishes.
n
Identification, safe handling and appropriate disposal of paints, stains, preparatory and undercoating materials and other hazardous materials.
n
Assembling ladders properly to manage risk of falls and increase safety.
n
Preparing the surrounding area by covering it with cloth or plastic to prevent messes.
n
Erect and use apparatus (ladders and planks) to work safely at various heights.
n
Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture.
n
Maintaining cleanliness of the site and painting tools after completion of the task.

Qualifications
n
n
Certificate III Level qualification is required.
n
Must have a minimum 1 year of experience as a painter.
n
Valuable communication skills
n
Ability to work in a team and autonomously.
