We're looking for a Technical Director – Botany to join our Ecology team in Perth.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
n
n
You will be involved in technical review and assurance of deliverables.
n
Preparing and providing high-level review of technical reports and documentation to support referrals and environmental assessments.
n
Scoping and leading biological surveys throughout Western Australia.
n
Leading and contributing to winning proposals to support business growth.
n
Travel throughout the state to undertake surveys, often in remote locations for extended survey periods.
n
Conducting complex biological surveys and assessments, providing technical direction where required.
n
Maintaining knowledge of industry and regulatory requirements for ecology and approvals.
n
Making technical decisions and providing solutions based on expertise.
n
Providing leadership and guidance to ecology team members, including mentoring and oversight of technical work.
n
Building and maintaining client relationships, supporting repeat work and growth opportunities.
n
Contributing to business development activities and representing GHD in the market where appropriate.

What will you bring to the team?
n
n
Bachelor degree qualification in environmental science or ecology discipline.
n
10+ years' relevant ecology experience, within Western Australia preferred but not mandatory.
n
Current driver's licence (C class), manual preferred.
n
Proven experience in and a sound understanding of current environmental issues and legislation.
n
Strong experience in proposal development, project delivery and working as part of a team.
n
Demonstrated experience leading projects and mentoring junior team members.
n
Ability to deliver critical project outcomes under pressure with enthusiasm and drive.
n
Strong client engagement skills and ability to contribute to business growth.
n
