DOMESTIC ASSISTANCE SUPPORT WORKER
n
Allegiance Heart & Home Care is seeking a reliable, respectful and experienced Domestic Assistance Support Worker to provide regular in-home support as part of our Support at Home services.
n
This is an ongoing weekly 2Hours shift and would suit someone looking for consistent work with an established aged care provider.
n
About the Role
n
The successful applicant will provide domestic assistance to help maintain a clean, safe, hygienic and comfortable home environment.
n
Duties may include:
n
n
General household cleaning
n
Vacuuming and mopping floors
n
Cleaning bathrooms, showers and toilets
n
Cleaning kitchen surfaces and general kitchen areas
n
Dusting and wiping surfaces
n
Laundry assistance
n
Taking out household rubbish
n
General tidying and organisation
n
Completing other reasonable light domestic assistance tasks within the approved service scope
n
n
This role does not involve heavy or specialist cleaning. Support should be delivered respectfully and in accordance with the person's preferences and care plan.

Ongoing weekly visit

Regular and consistent shift

Day and time to be confirmed

In-home aged care / Support at Home service
n
n
We are particularly interested in applicants who are able to commit to the regular weekly schedule and provide continuity of support.

About You
n
We are looking for someone who is:

Reliable and punctual

Respectful, patient and compassionate
n
Comfortable working independently in a person's home
n
Able to follow a care plan and service instructions
n
Able to communicate professionally with clients, families and the care team
n
Observant and able to report any concerns or changes appropriately
n
Committed to maintaining privacy, dignity and confidentiality
n
Willing to provide consistent and high-quality support
n
n
Previous experience in aged care, home care, disability support, cleaning or domestic assistance is highly regarded.
n
Preferred Requirements
n
Applicants should ideally have:
n
n
Previous domestic assistance or support work experience
n
Current Police Check
n
Current driver's licence and reliable transport
n
Ability to use a mobile app for shift information and progress notes
n
Understanding of infection control, workplace safety and safe manual handling practices
n
Appropriate qualifications or relevant aged care/support experience where applicable
n
