Our client is a well‐established and market‐leading civil contractor, looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Project Manager – Demolition to join their growing business.
The client provides services across a number of industry sectors such as building, government, industrial, transport infrastructure, environmental, etc. and the role involves contributing to the successful delivery of challenging projects, predominantly demolition with typical values from $1m to $20m+.
The candidate will typically run one large project or 2 to 3 smaller ones, and previous experience delivering a $20m+ demolition as number 1 is ideal.
Responsibilities
Working on tenders
Planning and scheduling of construction activities
Management of site project teams
Quality Assurance, Cost and Time Management
Preparation of management reports
Resolving site issues in a timely manner
Liaising with key clients and stakeholders
Coordinating internal and external resources
Business development
Recruitment and mentoring of teams
Qualifications and Requirements
Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or similar
5 – 15+ years' management experience on demolition and civil construction projects with a project value of $1m to $20m+
Proven demolition experience
Project management qualifications will be advantageous
Proven understanding of construction with a hands‐on approach
Proven ability to effectively lead and delegate
Effective problem solving abilities
Ability to resolve conflict and manage client expectations
High level of organisation and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
