About the Role
n
Reporting to the Principal Land Management, this Brisbane-based role will support the strategic development and effective management of Stanmore's environmental offset portfolio, ensuring compliance with environmental obligations while delivering long-term ecological and business outcomes. The role includes significant travel to offset properties and operational sites.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
n
Supporting the development and implementation of Stanmore's Offset Portfolio Strategy
n
Managing environmental offset obligations, approvals and compliance requirements
n
Coordinating land stewardship programs across offset properties
n
Overseeing ecological monitoring and biodiversity programs
n
Managing consultants, contractors, scopes of work and budgets
n
Coordinating regulatory reporting and maintaining audit-ready records
n
Contributing environmental expertise to land acquisition, due diligence and growth projects
n
Working with internal GIS specialists to support spatial analysis and offset planning
n
Building productive relationships with landholders, regulators,
consultants and operational stakeholders.

About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
n
n
A degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, Conservation Biology, Natural Resource Management or a related discipline
n
At least 5 years' experience in environmental approvals, biodiversity management, environmental compliance or land management
n
Demonstrated experience delivering biodiversity offset or conservation land management programs
n
Strong knowledge of environmental approvals, management plans and compliance reporting
n
Experience managing consultants, contractors, budgets and environmental programs
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
n
A practical and proactive approach to problem solving
n
The ability to work independently whilst managing multiple priorities.
n
n
Highly Regarded
n
n
Experience with EPBC Act approvals and environmental offsets
n
Knowledge of the Queensland Environmental Offsets Framework
n
Experience within mining, resources, infrastructure or energy sectors
n
GIS capability, including ArcGIS Pro
n
Experience managing large-scale rural, grazing or conservation properties.
n
