This Isn't Your Typical Support Worker Role
As a Disability Support Worker in our Community Participation and Day Programs team, you'll help customers:
Participate in shopping and community activities
Travel to Bathurst and other agreed destinations
Plan and prepare meals
Explore art and creative activities
Complete agreed domestic duties
Build independence and practical life skills
Develop confidence and community connections
Support choice and control over everyday decisions
We use a therapeutic, person-centred approach that focuses on strengths, capability building and helping people achieve their full potential.

Experience in community based support

Clear and effective communicatorsComfortable supporting persons with complex personal or family circustances
Confident working independently while maintaining professional boundaries

This role would particularly suit someone who enjoys cooking, shopping, creative activities and supporting people to access their community.
You'll Need
Previous experience providing disability or community based supports
Current Driver Licence
Willingness and ability to undertake community travel
NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
Working with Children Check (where applicable)
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written and spoken English
