About the Opportunity
Working from our Bathurst branch on Wiradjuri Country, you'll be supported by experienced operators and leaders while developing the skills, knowledge and confidence needed for a long-term career in transport and resource recovery.
This role provides a unique opportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced operational environment while developing professional driving skills with Australia's leading waste management company.

Collections
Commercial & Industrial Collections
Vehicle Type
Rear Lift Collection Vehicle
What You'll Be Doing
Learning to safely operate a rear lift collection vehicle
Completing daily vehicle inspections and safety checks
Collecting waste and recycling from commercial and industrial customers
Working safely around customer sites, loading zones and traffic environments
Performing manual handling activities throughout your shift
Following safe work procedures and operational requirements




Building confidence through structured driver training and mentoring
Delivering professional customer service while representing Cleanaway
What We're Looking For
You don't need previous truck driving experience.
We're looking for people who demonstrate:
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Reliability and strong attendance
Strong safety awareness
A strong work ethic
Comfort working independently
Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions
A genuine interest in building a long-term career

Many of our most successful drivers come from industries outside transport.
To be considered, you must:
Hold a current unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence
Have a minimum of 8 demerit points available
Be able to obtain a Heavy Rigid Licence
Be willing to complete a pre-employment medical assessment
Be willing to complete drug and alcohol testing
Be comfortable with early morning starts
Be physically capable of manual handling activities
Be committed to completing the Driver Academy program
