Junior Contracts Administrator - Civil Infrastructure
n
Our client is a mid-tier civil construction contractor delivering infrastructure projects across South Australia. They are seeking a Junior Contracts Administrator to join their project team on an initial 1-month contract, providing administrative and financial support across an active civil construction project. Immediate start available for the right candidate.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their contracts administration career to gain hands‐on experience within a busy civil infrastructure environment, working closely with the Commercial and Project Management team.

About The Role
n
Based in the Adelaide CBD office, and reporting to the Contracts Manager/Commercial Manager, you will support the day-to-day administration of subcontracts, purchase orders, and invoicing, ensuring accurate cost tracking and timely processing across the project.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Assist with the preparation and administration of subcontract documentation and purchase orders
n
Process and reconcile subcontractor and supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy against POs and delivery dockets
n
Support month-end close processes, including cost tracking, accruals, and reporting
n
Maintain accurate project cost records within relevant systems (e.g. COINS)
n
Track and follow up outstanding invoices and payment queries
n
Assist with variations,
progress claims, and payment schedule administration
n
Support procurement documentation, including GRNs and delivery dockets
n
Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers on invoicing and account queries
n
Maintain organised project files and documentation for audit readiness
n
Provide general administrative support to the commercial and project team
n

About You
n
n
Some experience in a contracts administration, accounts payable, or project administration role — civil construction or infrastructure experience highly regarded
n
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when processing financial documentation
n
Confident working with numbers and reconciling invoices/POs
n
Strong organisational and communication skills
n
Experience with COINS or similar project cost systems advantageous but not essential
n
Available to start immediately or on short notice
n
Eagerness to learn and grow within a
commercial/contracts
