Our client operates a fully licensed private function vessel on the Swan River in Perth, catering for up to 200 guests across corporate events, celebrations, cocktail functions, dinner and dancing events and school cruises.

About the opportunity
n
We are seeking a customer-centric Venue Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day front-of-house operations of this established venue.
n
You will be responsible for
n
n
Planning and delivering charter events to a high service standard
n
Leading and rostering the casual front-of-house team
n
Managing suppliers, stock and purchasing
n
Overseeing venue administration and event preparation
n
Ensuring compliance with liquor licensing, food safety and maritime requirements
n
Leading the team during events and overseeing post-event reset
n
n
This is a hands-on, autonomous role working closely with the Functions Coordinator, Skipper and external maritime advisors.
n
Maritime experience is not required, with full operational documentation and specialist support provided.
n
About you
n
You will ideally have
n
n
Venue, function centre or hospitality operations experience
n
Hands-on event management experience
n
Experience leading and rostering casual teams
n
Supplier and stock management experience
n
Current RSA and WA Approved Manager's Licence, or willingness to obtain
n
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, or willingness to obtain
n
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends around the event schedule
n
A willingness to undertake hands-on work including setup, stock handling and post-event reset
n
n
You will be organised, customer-focused, calm under pressure and comfortable working independently.
