Access Clinician based in Adult Access Mental Health Service
Multiple classifications available: Occupational Therapist OT 3/4, Psychologist P 2/3, Registered Psychiatric Nurse RPN 3/4, and Social Worker SW3/4).

About the role
This position sits within the Eastern Health Adult Access Mental Health Service.
The integrated Access Service provides:
Crisis Assessment and Treatment Services (CATT):
Community-based crisis assessment, early discharge management,assessmentand management of newly referred clients, as well as after-hours treatment and crisis support for clients of community mental health services.
Telephone Triage:
A 24-hour service providing referral, advice, and support.
The Police and Clinician Emergency Response (PACER):
A5-day-a-week afternoon/evening outreach service working in collaboration with Victoria Police.
The team provides acute assessment and advice as an alternative to transferring clients to the Emergency Department under Section232of the Mental Healthand WellbeingAct****.
Emergency Department (ED) Response:




Provision of mental health and/or AOD assessment and interventions, including immediate assessment and risk management plans for individuals presenting withbehavioursof concern.
The team provides comprehensive mental health assessment, treatment, and care planning for people experiencing acute mental health issues.
Ambulance Victoria (AV) Teleprompt Response:
A3-day-a-week specialist mental health clinician role based in the AV callcentre, responding to calls from on-site AV staff.
The aim is to provide mental health assessments and reduce unnecessary ED presentations.
About you
Clinical Psychologist:Full registration, or eligibility for full registration, as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (PBA).
A Master's or Doctoral qualification in Clinical Psychology approved by the PBA.
Endorsement is essential.
Mental Health Nurse:Registered Nurse with AHPRA, with approved or endorsed postgraduate qualifications in Psychiatric Nursing
Occupational Therapist:Registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (AHPRA)
Social Worker:A degree in Social Work approved by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
Compliance with AASW Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements to meet
Eastern Health Allied Health credentialing standards.Demonstrated experience as a qualified Social Worker in a range of clinical mental health settings

Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year.
Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
