The Opportunity
As a Bookkeeper, you will play an important role in supporting our clients and contributing to the continued growth of Kelly+Partners Bendigo.
This is a part-time opportunity, ideal for someone looking to build their career within a supportive and collaborative team environment.
The successful applicant will have at least 2 years' experience in a bookkeeping role and be passionate about delivering exceptional service to clients.
Position Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of bookkeeping clients, providing day-to-day accounting and payroll support
Prepare and lodge BAS and other statutory returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Process payroll for a variety of clients, including payroll tax obligations and reporting requirements
Prepare end-of-year Single Touch Payroll lodgements
Complete bookkeeping duties including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and data processing
Generate monthly and quarterly reports using accounting software
Work closely with Client Directors, Managers, and the broader team to support client outcomes
Participate in training sessions, team meetings, and company events
About You
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a bookkeeping, accounts, or similar role
Experience in a public practice or chartered accounting firm is advantageous but not essential
Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or Accounting is preferred
Experience using accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or Reckon
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Willing to work part time (up to 20 hours) per week
Committed to providing exceptional client service
Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn
Able to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
