Here at CBCity The City of Canterbury Bankstown is one of the largest Council's in NSW with the most culturally, socially and economically diverse communities in Sydney.
We deliver 21 key services such as childcare, waste collection, parks maintenance, libraries, community facilities and aquatic centres to over 370,000 residents.
The role Build your career in event management while gaining hands-on experience delivering exciting events and activations across our City!
As a Trainee Event Management, you'll combine structured learning and development with practical, on-the-job experience as part of Council's City Events Activations Team.
Working alongside experienced Event Producers and internal Council teams, you'll gain exposure to the complete event management lifecycle, including event planning, stakeholder engagement, procurement, supplier coordination, risk management, event logistics, communications, event-day operations and post-event evaluation.
This is a two-year Temporary Full-Time traineeship commencing in February ****, where you will develop practical workplace skills and build a strong foundation for your career in customer service, while completing a TAFE course alongside your work with Council.
Top of Form Bottom of Form Duties will include but not be limited to: Support the planning and delivery of CBCity's major events and activations Work alongside Event Producers to assist with event plans, schedules, budgets and logistics.
Coordinate with Council teams, suppliers, contractors and stakeholders.
Gain hands-on experience in event set-up, delivery and pack-down.
Assist with procurement, event communications, risk, WHS and accessibility requirements.
Build practical event management skills through on-the-job training and mentoring.

recent school leaver, or early career professional.
A current Class C drivers' license and own reliable transport A valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) The salary range for this opportunity commences at $38,272 (T3 at 17 years of age) or $44,746 (T4 at 18+ years or completed HSC) + 12% super.
