We fund pioneering research and clinical trials focused on gentler, more effective treatments that preserve fertility and improve quality of life.
Based in Brisbane, Cherish supports transformative initiatives and innovative clinical studies.
Our work is powered by high-impact fundraising events attended by hundreds of generous supporters, a visionary Board of volunteer directors, and a deeply engaged events committee.

Impact of the role As Cherish's Fundraising Manager, you will lead the strategy and execution of high-value donor relationships that directly fuel life-changing research.
Working closely with the Board, clinicians, researchers, and events committee, you will turn generosity into tangible outcomes by cultivating and stewarding major gifts through exclusive events, intimate lunches, dinners, and laboratory tours.
You will take supporters from engaged mid-tier donors to transformative contributors, leveraging a rich existing donor database, high-profile events, and the guidance of a deeply committed Board.
You will also work together with one other Cherish staff member and an executive team collaboratively.

With your strategic vision, leadership, and empathy, you will ensure Cherish's philanthropy program thrives, enabling groundbreaking clinical trials and research projects that improve lives across Australia.




Key Responsibilities Lead the major gift fundraising strategy, managing a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, family foundations, and philanthropic trusts.
Develop and implement tailored cultivation and stewardship strategies that strengthen relationships and increase giving.
Prepare compelling proposals, case-for-support documents, and impact reports to secure and maintain significant gifts.
Partner with the Board, clinicians, researchers, and events committee to unlock donor opportunities and deliver transformative gifts.
Oversee donor experiences, including exclusive events, lab yours and tailored briefings with the board.
Maintain accurate records in the CRM system (SupporterHub) and report against targets and KPIs.
Support the coordination of high-profile fundraising events to engage donors and strengthen long-term relationships.
Skills and Experience Proven experience securing high-value gifts (five and six-figure) and growing major donors.
Exceptional relationship management; confident working with high-net-worth individuals, Board members, clinicians and researchers.
Interpersonal Skills that support the values of Cherish as well as being collaborative, gentle, kind and caring.
Strategic thinker with the ability to use data and moves management to grow giving.
Proficiency with fundraising CRMs (for example SupporterHub) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including proposal and case-for-support development.




Knowledge of the Australian philanthropic landscape, including Private and Public Ancillary Funds (PuAFs and PAFs).
Ability to translate complex scientific research into compelling donor communications.
A personal passion for women's health or cancer research.
