About the Role We are seeking a reliable Labourer to join a regional road linemarking crew based in South Grafton.
You will support linemarking and road maintenance activities through general labouring, traffic control, vehicle movements and equipment preparation.
Regional travel is essential, including working away from home for up to 10 days at a time.
Night, weekend and overtime work may also be required.
Position : Road Worker / Labourer Pay Rate : $***** per hour + superannuation Location : South Grafton, NSW Expected Duration: ASAP until 29 November **** (potential for extension or full-time employment) Key Responsibilities Assist crews with road linemarking and maintenance activities.
Perform general labouring in roadside environments.
Set up and pack down equipment and work areas.
Support traffic control and safe worksite operations.
Drive vans and light vehicles to escort crews and equipment.
Load, unload and secure materials and equipment.
Transport vehicles to worksites when appropriately licensed.
Clean and maintain vehicles, equipment and work areas.
Complete pre-start checks and report faults or hazards.
Operate approved hand tools and equipment safely.
Assist with forklift loading when appropriately licensed.
Follow WHS, traffic management and environmental procedures.
Complete basic operational records and documentation.
Participate in toolbox talks and safety briefings.
About You You are reliable, safety-focused and comfortable with physical outdoor work around roads, vehicles and traffic.
You must be flexible with travel and working hours, including periods away from home.
Current Traffic Control ticket is mandatory.
Current Construction Industry White Card is mandatory.
Current unrestricted Australian driver's licence is mandatory.
Current Workers on Foot competency is essential (or willing to obtain before commencement) General labouring, roadworks, civil or traffic control experience.
Physically capable of manual outdoor work.
Able to work away from home for up to 10 days.
Available for night, weekend and overtime work when required.
Based in Grafton or the surrounding area.
Strong safety awareness and ability to follow procedures.
Reliable, punctual and comfortable working in a team.
Truck licence is preferred but not essential.
Forklift licence is advantageous but not essential.
Linemarking or road maintenance experience is highly regarded.
Able to complete and pass reference and police checks.
Valid working rights in Australia are mandatory.
Sponsorship is not available.
Australian citizenship, permanent residency or a suitable long-term Australian working visa is required.
