Build AI agents with the Product and Engineering team
Review self-improving agent edits for technical correctness and best practice
Audit agent-produced workpapers against source materials and determine whether they are review-ready
Diagnose whether errors arise from incorrect instructions, source data or unresolved judgement calls
Test new capabilities against messy, unusual and incomplete client situations
Prepare and review tax returns, BAS, working papers and financial statements for Visory's customers
Serve as Visory's registered tax agent and take qualified responsibility for client work sign-off and lodgement
Own the quality-assurance and sign-off framework for agent-produced work
Ensure work meets Australian professional and regulatory standards, ATO requirements, professional obligations and applicable accounting standards
Act as the company authority on Australian tax and compliance
Track legislative, ATO and accounting-standard changes and update agent rules and product behaviour
Help shape product workflows around accounting-firm ledgers, workpapers, review processes and lodgement cycles
Represent the practitioner perspective in discussions with accounting-firm customers
Work directly with founders and the Product and Engineering team
Shape quality standards, professional processes and the future accounting team
Requirements
CA or CPA qualified (essential)
Registered tax agent with the Tax Practitioners Board, or clearly eligible for registration (desirable)
5+ years in Australian public practice across business services and tax; applicants with less experience are encouraged to apply if ambitious and willing to learn
Experience preparing and reviewing individual, company, trust and partnership returns, BAS/IAS, working papers and financial statements




Experience reviewing other people's work and maintaining quality standards
Strong command of Australian tax law, including income tax, GST, FBT, Division 7A, CGT concessions and trust distributions
Fluent in Xero, MYOB and/or QBO, and comfortable with ATO portals
Solid grounding in special purpose and general purpose financial reporting for SMEs
Curious about AI and interested in changing how compliance work is done; prior AI product experience is not required
Ability to turn professional judgement into explicit, teachable rules and standards
Comfortable with ambiguity, iteration and fast feedback loops in an early-stage product team

Proven experience in quality assurance and maintaining professional standards within an accounting context.
