Building Construction Project Management Brisbane Permanent / Full Time Defence + hospital experience essential Junior PM opportunity with support from an experienced project team Open to solid Contracts Administrators ready to transition into a PM role Our client is looking for a Junior Project Manager to join the team, working from their Capalaba office and supporting Construction projects across Defence and Healthcare.
The initial project will be a remote hospital project in Mt Isa, with another SEQ Defence project likely to follow once procurement is complete and the project programme is established.
We're looking for someone with solid construction experience who is ready to take the next step into Project Management.
This could suit a Junior PM already in the role, or a strong Contracts Administrator looking to transition into PM and take on more responsibility across the project lifecycle.
What We're Looking For Defence construction experience is mandatory Several Defence projects delivered within the last 3–5 years Hospital project experience within the last 3–5 years Experience working on Defence sites Remote project experience, ideally hospital projects away from the coast Experience working on projects generally ranging from $1M–$10M Current DCAC highly regarded Strong understanding of HOTO and project close-out processes A genuine safety-first attitude Practical,



hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills Someone who wants to be involved in the detail and develop their PM career Key Responsibilities Assist with the day-to-day management and delivery of construction projects Work closely with the Senior PM and project team to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget Manage subcontractors, suppliers and consultants Assist with project programming, planning and coordination Track project costs, variations, progress claims and financial reporting Manage project documentation, contracts and reporting requirements Coordinate procurement and subcontractor engagement Attend site meetings and coordinate with clients and stakeholders Assist with HOTO, defects and project close-out Identify issues early and work with the team to find practical solutions Maintain a strong focus on safety and compliance throughout the project This is a hands-on role, so it's a great opportunity for someone who wants to step up, take ownership and build their career in PM, rather than being one of many layers within a Tier 1 environment.
