Step into an established accounts function for six months, working across accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll for a commercial builder in Camberwell.
The package is up to $130k plus super, pro rata.
This is a genuine hands-on accounts position.
You will not be coming in to redesign the finance function or lead a major transformation.
The business needs someone who can learn its processes quickly, keep everything moving, and provide reliable cover while an existing employee is on extended leave.
The company is an established commercial builder delivering fit-out and new-build projects across Melbourne and regional Victoria.
It has a stable team, experienced directors and the systems already in place for you to step into the role and get on with the job.
Your responsibilities will include processing supplier invoices, preparing payment runs, managing accounts receivable, following up on outstanding accounts, completing reconciliations, processing payroll and assisting with day-to-day finance reporting.
Extensive Cheops experience is essential .
You must be able to confidently use the accounts functions within Cheops, as no training is provided.
The business can be flexible around other areas of your background, but it cannot compromise on this requirement.
You will also need practical experience across accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.
Experience with a builder, civil contractor, property developer or client-side construction organisation is strongly preferred.
A formal accounting qualification will be viewed favourably, although proven transactional accounts experience is more important.
This is not a construction Contract Administrator position.
The role is strictly focused on accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and general finance administration.
The position is office-based in Camberwell.
