ForestrySA is seeking motivated, resilient and high-performing individuals to join our Operations Crew based at Mount Crawford for contracts of up to 7 months commencing October ****.

ABOUT THE ROLE As a member of the Operations Crew, you'll work across a diverse range of forestry and fire management activities including: Forest maintenance and land management operations Firebreak and trail maintenance Fence construction and repairs Weed and pest management Conservation and recreation projects Fire preparedness activities Frontline wildfire suppression and incident response Equipment and vehicle operation Ongoing training and capability development No two days are the same.
You'll spend most of your time working outdoors in varied terrain and conditions as part of a professional crew that relies on trust, commitment and teamwork.

Successful applicants will be required to work on a roster system which includes weekends, public holidays and after-hours, which include light work, standby and fire response as required.
Employment will be at the Level 2 salary of the ForestrySA Enterprise Agreement **** ($64,205-$67,253 per annum), to be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
Fire Protection payments and allowances will be paid where applicable.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS Required to participate in fire protection activities on a roster system including working weekends and public holidays.
Must wear relevant safety equipment, clothing and footwear as required.
Must be physically fit for forestry work and fire-fighting duties.
Must undertake and pass regular health assessments in accordance with ForestrySA Fire Manual.
Must undertake and pass the AFAC Moderate Task-Based Assessment (Arduous level highly desirable).
Required to participate in the Performance Development process.
Must comply and adhere to ForestrySA policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics for the South Australian Public Sector.
A current National Police Check is required.
Out of hours work, intrastate or interstate travel may be required.
Must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or provide evidence that you hold a valid working visa that allows you to work in Australia without restrictions.
