Greatness starts here Become a member of the Support at Home Maintenance team providing in home services for clients across the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne.
We have a fulltime role available.
This position contributes to the day-to-day maintenance activities required to maintain private homes of clients of the Support at Home Program engaged by DPV Health.
This includes garden maintenance, home modifications and small repairs.
This role is a hands-on position which will include garden care, gutter cleaning, home maintenance and ensuring building are safe and hazard free.
All equipment and a vehicle are provided.
Working as part of the Support at Home team, and reporting to the Support at Home Coordinator, you will be responsible for: Working with clients to maintain their gardens and lawns.
Undertaking general maintenance repairs such as painting, plaster patching, window and door repairs, minor plumbing and carpentry.
Supporting client safety and wellbeing by completing home modification tasks such as ramp, handrail and door magnet installation.
Fostering and maintaining positive relationships with clients – a person-centered approach.
Being proactive, creative, demonstrating problem solving skills and communicating effectively Ability to communicate with staff and clients with empathy and understanding, and a sensitivity to diverse economic, social and cultural backgrounds.
Good communication skills.
Experience working in a property maintenance role is highly desirable.

We are looking for an individual who has a systematic approach to how they manage their day, have high attention to detail, have knowledge and understanding of home maintenance and garden care and the safe use of equipment and chemicals.
Demonstrated experience in general building maintenance and grounds maintenance is required.
A formal qualification in a related trade discipline would be an advantage though not mandatory.
Experience in minor home modifications such as handrails and ramp installation, desired but not essential if you have a willingness to learn.
You must have a full or probationary driver's license to enable you to drive a DPV Health vehicle.
The fine print Successful candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check, International Police Check (if applicable), hold a valid WWCC.
Full driver license and travel between sites required.
