Psychologist Mental Health Team | Western District Health Service • Part Time (0.8 EFT) – Permanent • Hamilton, Victoria • $***** per hour + Superannuation + Salary Packaging Benefits • Relocation support, including access to short-term shared accommodation (subject to availability) Make a meaningful difference to mental health in rural Victoria Western District Health Service is seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychologist to join our Mental Health Team at Hamilton Campus.
In this role, you will provide confidential psychological assessment, counselling and evidence-based treatment to people across the Southern Grampians and Glenelg Shire.
You will manage a varied community caseload, including clients referred by local GPs under Mental Health Care Plans and, within your scope of practice, referrals funded through services such as TAC, DVA and the NDIS.
Working within a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to case formulation, treatment planning and coordinated care that improves outcomes for clients, their families and the wider community.

**********************************************************> What You'll Be Doing Psychological Assessment Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, including mental state and risk assessment, and complete reports and assessments required by relevant funding streams.
Evidence-Based Treatment Develop and deliver collaborative treatment plans and psychological interventions that support recovery, reduce the impact of mental ill-health and encourage early help-seeking.
Caseload and Care Coordination Manage a community caseload and work closely with clients, referring professionals and WDHS services to establish treatment goals, coordinate care and communicate progress appropriately.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration Contribute to Mental Health Team and multidisciplinary discussions, provide robust case formulation and collaborate with allied health and other services to support positive client outcomes.
Advocacy and Outreach Advocate for timely and equitable care, support access to relevant services and funding pathways, and provide outreach at a client's home or nearest WDHS campus when required.
Quality and Professional Practice Maintain accurate, timely and confidential clinical records, meet medico-legal and funding requirements, and contribute to service development and continuous improvement.
What You Bring General registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Experience working in acute and/or community mental health settings Strong psychological assessment, counselling, case formulation and treatment-planning skills Demonstrated ability to deliver evidence-based psychological interventions within your scope of practice Excellent communication, advocacy, collaboration and care-coordination skills Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to positive client outcomes Commitment to confidential, person-centred and culturally safe practice Current Driver's Licence Current Police Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check,
