Medical Workforce Officer – Recruitment Contracts Medical Workforce Team | Western District Health Service Fixed Term Full Time | 10 Month Contract 80 hours per fortnight with a Monthly Accrued Day Off (ADO) Hamilton, Victoria $***** per hour + Superannuation Join a collaborative team supporting the recruitment, onboarding and retention of medical professionals across WDHS Help shape the future of our medical workforce Western District Health Service is seeking an organised and proactive Medical Workforce Officer – Recruitment Contracts to join our Medical Workforce Team on a 10-month fixed term contract .
This key role supports the attraction, recruitment, onboarding, compliance and contract management of medical professionals across the organisation.
Working closely with the Chief Medical Officer, People Capability and external workforce agencies, you will help ensure WDHS continues to attract and retain a high-quality medical workforce to support healthcare delivery across our region.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recruitment, HR or workforce professional who enjoys building relationships, working with complex processes and making a meaningful contribution to healthcare outcomes.
What You'll Be Doing Recruitment Onboarding Oversee recruitment and employment contract processes for medical professionals, ensuring a smooth, professional and compliant candidate experience.
Contract Management Compliance Manage employment contracts, compliance requirements and employee records, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legislative and organisational requirements.
Visa Credentialing Coordination Coordinate visa processes, workforce compliance and credentialing activities for medical professionals across WDHS.
S takeholder Engagement Work collaboratively with People Capability, medical staff, health services, training organisations and partner agencies to support workforce planning and recruitment outcomes.
Workforce Support Act as the first point of contact for recruitment, contract and compliance enquiries from medical workforce employees and stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement Contribute to workforce improvement initiatives, process reviews and service enhancements that strengthen recruitment, onboarding and workforce management practices.
What You Bring Qualifications in Business Management, Administration, Human Resources or a related discipline Demonstrated experience in recruitment, workforce administration, contract management or a similar role Experience managing recruitment processes and employment contracts Strong organisational and administrative capabilities Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills High level of attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications and workforce systems Current Driver's Licence Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain) Rights to work in Australia Why Join Western District Health Service?
